Rental Housing Programs

The Rental Housing Programs offers housing options for disabled, elderly and families whose income and qualifications meet the HUD and Low Income Housing Tax Credit program guidelines. Each property offers some form of rental assistance making it affordable for the residents. Applications for elderly and disabled units can be requested by calling 444-6203 ext. 10.

Single Family Rental Homes

DCHA owns and manages 38 three-and four-bedroom single-family homes located in southwest and northwest Omaha. This waiting list is open at all times.

Elderly and Disabled Housing

DCHA owns and manages elderly and disabled one bedroom apartments in three locations:

North Acres

Located at 5449 North 108th Street, offers one-bedroom apartments with a separate entrance to each apartment unit, a community center for social events and a beautiful courtyard setting for outdoor enjoyment.

Valley View

Located at 400 West Meigs in Valley, offers 28 one-bedroom apartments with a separate entrance to each apartment unit and a community center for social gatherings.

Valley Heights

Located at 309-317 West Meigs in Valley, offers 16 one-bedroom apartments with a separate entrance to each apartment unit as well as laundry facilities for resident use. The residents share the community center located at Valley View.

Other Housing Options

Benn View Apartments

Located at 15652 N. 4th Street in Bennington, offers 24 one-bedroom apartments with separate entrances to each apartment unit and a community center for social gatherings.

Woodgate Townhomes

Located at 78th and Whitmore Plaza, offers two- and three-bedroom townhome units specially designed to meet the needs of families with disabilities. An attached one-car garage is included as well as a washer and dryer in each unit.

Platte Valley Apartments

Located at 712 S. West Street in Valley, offers one-two- and three-bedroom spacious apartments. The three-bedroom units offer two bathrooms.

River Road Townhomes

Built in 2014 and located in Waterloo, offer two bedroom spacious apartments, with attached garage for disabled and those over 55 years of age and older. These townhomes include internet access and some paid utilities.
